Abstract

|
|
Catheter ablation has become an essential treatment option to manage arrhythmias in the last decades. A cutting-edge technological advancement is the navigation ability of remote-controlled ablation catheters. To date, 2 different systems, the Niobe¢ç magnetic navigation system (MNS, Stereotaxis, USA) and the Sensei¢ç robotic navigation system (RNS, Hansen Medical, USA) are commercially available. The present review introduces the basic concepts of the system and compares the merits and demerits of remote navigation.
